Since 1982, The Image Maker has been New Jersey’s premier studio of choice. While we are best known for our perceptive insightfulness which is captured in each and every portrait of children and families, The Image Maker is also the studio to call when it is time to update your professional business portrait.
Many of our clients also take advantage of the beautiful New Jersey scenery and have their portraits created on location. Environmental sessions can be arranged in a local park, your home and the New Jersey shore, as well as Nantucket, Martha’s Vineyard, Manhattan and other out of state locations.

Joe Galioto, M.Photog., Cr., DFP, CPP
With an educational background in psychology and art, Joe’s first full time job as a portrait photographer began in 1976. In 1982, Joe established The Image Maker, specializing in high-end and fine art portraiture of children and families.
His passion for photography and the profession becomes evident in his scores of accomplishments. Joe became a Master Photographer in 1993 followed by Photographic Craftsman two years later. In his home state of New Jersey, Joe has earned a Life Membership, the Distinguished Fellow of Photographers, the P.P.A. of NJ Award & the National Award. As a competitor, Joe is one of New Jersey’s more prolific winners. Having been awarded two Fassbender Awards for best of show, two Zeltsman Awards for Highest scoring print case, two Fuji Masterpiece Awards, and three Kodak Gallery awards, Joe also holds the distinction of being the only photographer in New Jersey to be honored with receiving the coveted Kodak Elite Gallery Award.
Joe has lectured and judged for PPA affiliates throughout New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland and California.
